Abstract | Cancer in young adults, despite being less prevalent than in other age groups, is a growing concern. Age-related differences exist in the prevalence of certain cancer forms, with some being more prevalent in young adults (20–39) and others in adolescents (15–19). Research indicates a strong link between lifestyle factors and cancer risk, especially in young adults. Young adults who adopt healthy lifestyle choices, such as eating a balanced diet, exercising regularly, quitting smoking, and drinking alcohol in moderation, can significantly reduce their risk of developing cancer and improve their long-term health. The purpose of this review is to address questions about the significance of the rising incidence of cancer in the younger population. The study's findings demonstrate the substantial impact that modifiable lifestyle decisions have on the cancer outcomes of young adults, highlighting the importance of targeted public health campaigns and prophylactic measures for this demographic. New findings and approaches to treatment are constantly being developed in the field of cancer research and treatment. This evolution is driven by advancements in understanding cancer biology, particularly its complex and dynamic nature, including its genetic and environmental influences. Artificial intelligence (AI) and big data analytics are being used to identify new targets for therapy, predict patient outcomes, and personalize treatment strategies. We will also talk about the lessons that may be gleaned about healthy lifestyle and its implementation in curing and preventing cancer. To better understand preventive measures of cancer, more research is still required. Additionally, we look forward to give researchers and stakeholders a route map. |
