Abstract Startups play a vital role in promoting innovation, employment generation, and economic growth in India. In recent years, the government has introduced several policy initiatives and support mechanisms to strengthen the startup ecosystem and encourage entrepreneurial activities across the country. This research paper presents an analytical study of government policy support and its impact on startup development in India. The study examines major government initiatives such as Startup India, Make in India, and Digital India, which aim to provide financial assistance, tax benefits, regulatory support, skill development, and infrastructure facilities for emerging entrepreneurs. The research analyzes how these policies have influenced the growth of startups in terms of business formation, innovation, investment opportunities, and job creation. The study is based on both primary and secondary data, including government reports, policy documents, research articles, and survey responses from startup entrepreneurs. Various analytical tools and statistical methods have been used to evaluate the effectiveness of these policy initiatives.
