| Abstract | This research paper presents the importance of coins in reconstructing history. It also provides a detailed description of the evolution and background of coins, which helps historians understand the social, economic, and political conditions of dynasties, their rulers, and their periods of prosperity. It also offers information about the prosperity and conditions of dynasties such as the Vardhanas, Rashtrakutas, and the Guptas. This paper focuses on the economic stability of currency in different empires and time periods. Coins play a vital role in identifying the administrative systems of dynasties, tracing political succession, and describing the economic background. Coins also reflect the religious tolerance of various dynasties through the iconography and symbolism depicted on them. Additionally, they provide insights into trade relations with both internal and external regions. |
