Abstract Due to the fast development of social media sites, web links are being exchanged at a high rate among users. These platforms, while useful for communication, also provide opportunities for attackers to spread malicious URLs. This research proposes a system to detect malicious URLs shared across multiple social media applications by analyzing URL structure, webpage behavior, and classification techniques such as Hidden Markov Model and correlation-based analysis. The system helps identify and block harmful links, improving cybersecurity and protecting users from online threats.
