| Abstract | The National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), launched by the Government of India in 2011, is one of the country's most significant poverty alleviation and rural development programmes. The mission seeks to enhance the livelihoods of rural households by promoting social mobilization, financial inclusion, skill development, and sustainable income-generating activities through Self-Help Groups (SHGs). This study examines the role of NRLM in promoting rural development in Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh using secondary data collected from government reports, policy documents, academic literature, and official statistics. |
