| Abstract | This study explores the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in retail on consumer perception, focusing on how AI-driven tools influence trust, satisfaction, and behavioural responses. With the rapid adoption of technologies such as chatbots, recommendation engines, and virtual assistants, understanding how consumers perceive and respond to these innovations has become crucial. The main objective is to examine the relationship between AI-based retail applications and consumer perception, particularly in terms of convenience, personalization, and reliability. Data were collected from 200 respondents using a structured questionnaire, and statistical analysis was conducted through SPSS, employing regression and ANOVA techniques to assess the relationship between AI usage and consumer attitudes. The findings indicate a significant positive association between AI applications and consumer perception, suggesting that when AI enhances convenience and personalization, it fosters greater trust and satisfaction. ANOVA results reveal that demographic factors like age and education significantly influence consumers’ attitudes toward AI tools in retail. However, privacy concerns and limited awareness continue to hinder full acceptance of AI technologies. The study concludes that effective and transparent implementation of AI can strengthen consumer trust, engagement, and loyalty. Retailers should focus on creating AI systems that are user-friendly, ethical, and aligned with consumer expectations. While the study provides valuable insights into AI adoption and perception, it is limited by its sample size and geographic scope. Future research could expand to different regions or industries to develop a broader understanding of AI’s role in shaping modern retail experiences. |
