An Empirical Assessment of Green Finance Perceptions among SME Entrepreneurs and Employees in Rajasthan

Abstract	Green finance directs funds towards activities that protect the environment while supporting economic growth. This study examined how SME entrepreneurs and employees in Rajasthan perceive the importance of green finance. A quantitative, descriptive and cross sectional design was used. Data were collected from 174 respondents, comprising 42 SME entrepreneurs and 132 SME employees. The scale showed internal consistency, with a Cronbach’s alpha of 0.835. Descriptive statistics and an independent samples t test were used for analysis. The findings indicated favourable views of green finance, particularly regarding competitiveness, sustainable investment and long term financial viability. SME entrepreneurs attached significantly greater importance to green finance than employees. The study highlights the need for simpler communication, practical training and employee involvement so that its environmental and business value is understood throughout the SME sector in Rajasthan.
