Achievement Motivation of Secondary Students in Relation to Their Home Environment

Abstract	Achievement motivation plays an important role in students’ academic engagement, persistence, and success. It is influenced by both individual characteristics and the home environment, including parental expectations, discipline, affection, support, rewards, and autonomy. Therefore, the present study examines the relationship between achievement motivation and ten dimensions of home environment among secondary school students. The study was conducted on 1,948 students of Classes IX and X from 60 secondary schools in Shahjahanpur District, Uttar Pradesh.
